Benton Bowmen, Inc., is a non-profit archery club organized in 1949 with approximately 20 members to promote the sport of archery in the vicinity of Corvallis, Oregon. Since that time the club has grown in size and scope and now offers a variety of activities including a summer 3D shoot, year-round practice range, NFAA target round, two year-round 3D courses, indoor shooting from December through April, several members only events throughout the year, a hunter awards program, volunteer opportunities as well. Benton Bowmen hold club memberships with Oregon Bowhunters, Inc., and the Western Oregon Archery Association.

The Benton Bowmen Archery Club is an organization run by its member-volunteers. It is important that members contribute their time and skills where/when they can to assure that the club continues to offer recreational archery opportunities in our area. Ongoing activities that require volunteers can be summarized in following general areas:

  • Club Governance (Service on the Executive Board as an officer or Board member; attend & vote at annual meeting)
  • Indoor Range (Three winter months on Wednesday Evenings at Benton County Fairgrounds)
  •  Outdoor Range (Saturday morning work parties @ four times a year + occasional special projects)
  • Club Sponsored Shooting Events (Primarily mid-July 3D shoot)
  •  Targets and target site maintenance (Year around low level activity)
